So what is the answer for today's connection for game #526?
Drum roll, please...
This was my second time doing this week's Connection Guide, and I'm happy to report that I solved the puzzle successfully. In fact, I only made 1 mistake in the yellow category. I knew it was about hair care, but I stumbled on "dying" (I thought the brain fart was a dye for a moment).
From there, it was smooth sailing through the monthly expense category. The same applies mostly to the "___Crab" section as the first 3 were obvious. I did not know about the "spider crab", but I took the guess and was right.
After I had locked down the first three, it left only the last four. I didn't think of "things with spots" before grouping the last 4, but not because the puzzle was over and I was happy.
Are you reading this in a later time zone? According to Connections Companion, game #525 had a difficulty rating of 2.8 out of 5.
It was an exciting adventure filled because I don't usually do a connection guide. I grasped that a few words were based around a team or group and almost effortlessly locked into the first category yesterday. It turns out that it is close enough "alliance".
From there, I was a bit puzzled before noticing the fact that "clinging" is associated with other tight things. From there, I connected "Sleek" and "Snug" to "Clingy", but I had to think a bit about Slinky.
From there, I fell apart and made the wrong puzzle. I had to rely on the answer and the connection companion to find a guide.
In retrospect, the use of "What an apostrophe is" was very clever at the final level, and I wanted to discover the link but appreciate the effort that went into the puzzle. The same applies to the kneeling part of the puzzle, but I feel like I could have caught it if I had spent a little more time.
