If you are going to go looking for Ernest Shackleton's legendary ship, the Endurance, there are some things you must not do. The clue is in the title of this ship and the National Geographic documentary.
Here's how to watch “The Endurance” from anywhere online, on TV, or via VPN.
Ernest Shackleton's 1914 expedition was to sail to Antarctica and cross 1,800 miles from one coast to another. He failed. But after his ship, the Endurance, became trapped in an ice floe before sinking to the bottom of the Weddell Sea, he managed to save the lives of his 27 crew members.
In doing so, the mission became truly British and failed spectacularly, and Shackleton is remembered today as a symbol of leadership and grace under pressure.
More than a century after the sinking, the search for his perfectly named ship, documented for the National Geographic Channel, experiences many of the unrelenting challenges faced by the original expedition, but ultimately benefits from technological advances. Produced by Chai Vasarhelyi and Jimmy Chin, the award-winning filmmakers behind [Free Solo and The Rescue], the search for the ship and the story of the original crew are interlocked, brought to life with excerpts from their diaries and rare footage from the period.
