Netflix to produce famous sports drama next month - 94% rating on Rotten Tomatoes

In the age of streaming, shows can be cancelled even if they find fans and accolades It happens all the time, and if you watch enough TV, you're sure to find a show that you wish had lasted a little longer

In my case, I think that show is the Netflix horror series Archive 81 But for at least some TV addicts, I think Michael Waldron's acclaimed wrestling drama “Heels” will be one of them

Despite high praise from critics and general audiences alike--averaging a 94% viewer/critic score on the review aggregation site Rotten Tomatoes--it seems to have “failed to gain enough viewers” (from TheWrap) to justify a renewal, with only two seasons, and was cancelled in September 2023

Shortly after this bad news, the show disappeared from the Starz app In other words, many viewers probably never had the chance to try “Heals” in the first place unless they bought the show outright [But it's not all doom and gloom; Netflix just licensed the censored show earlier this year and confirmed when viewers will be able to check it out

If the show becomes a fixture on Netflix's Top 10, perhaps the “heel” will come out of retirement Stephen Amell's participation in “Suits: LA” may make a resurgence a bit more difficult, but given his love of wrestling, there is a good chance he could be back if Netflix gives the go-ahead for season 3
