As “Yellowstone” Season 5 Part 2 approaches, more and more stars are revealing details about what will happen in the finale of Paramount's hit western show. [Last week, actress Kelly Reilly, who plays John Dutton's daughter Beth, revealed what's in store for her character in the show's final episode. And now her husband Cole Hauser, who plays Beth's husband Rip Wheeler, gives us food for thought about the ending of “Yellowstone.”
Hauser was asked in a recent interview with Parade about some fan theories on the Internet that it will end badly for Rip. Hauser did not fully reveal whether Rip will survive the final episode of Season 5 Part 2, but he did reveal that Rip will participate in this season's looming violence. 'We'll just have to wait and see. Listen, Rip is going to commit a lot of murders. I'll tell you that.”
But Hauser was a bit more forthcoming when interviewed by Today; when asked a question similar to the one posed by Parade magazine, Hauser said, “My mom told me a couple of times, 'Mom, I'm doing the killing. I said, 'Don't worry about it.'” Pressed further as to whether Rip will be gone by the end of the season, Hauser said, “I think he'll be fine. For now.
Ever since we saw the Season 5 Part 2 trailer, we've been anticipating a violent Season 5 Part 2 finale. That trailer showed a man on fire running through a picturesque American West landscape and a man about to be pushed to his death by Rip Wheeler.
However, based on Hauser's comments, it seems certain that Rip's body count in this final episode will exceed that body count. The man on fire mentioned earlier? Could it be that Rip and Lloyd Pierce (Foley J. Smith) escaped from the car they set on fire and left it burning in their trailer? Given the time of the scene, it is unlikely, but not impossible.
But it seems that Rip is not the only one who will be killing this season. In the trailer, Beth's brother, Jamie Dutton (Wes Bentley), appears to exit his car with a gun. We know that Jamie has committed murder and wants Beth dead. Will he succeed? Or will he join Rip's killing statistics? Or will Beth have the last word? After all, she concludes the trailer by saying. The only thing left to do is to kill as many as you can before they kill you.”
If you want to know for sure how “Yellowstone” ends, you'll have to watch the final episode. The premiere of Season 5 Part 2 will air on the Paramount Network on November 10, and you can also watch the premiere episode on CBS just a few hours later.
