Apple has released new beta software on macOS, iOS and iPadOS.It has many cool features centered around Apple Intelligence. AI will definitely be the focus for most people who jump into the developer beta of macOS Sequoia 15.2, but you can add to the menu bar
The new widget, first discovered by 9to5mac, has a small weather icon and time, Wi-Fi status, and battery icon. Click on the temperature widget that appears next to the icon to see the weather for the next few hours where your Mac is located. If you are interested, you can also use the widget to see the temperature in other parts of the world.
If you really want to delve into what's happening in the weather world, the pop-out widget also features a link to the weather app.
As always, the features can be changed with respect to the developer beta, so the presence of the weather widget in this version is exciting, the fact that Apple is working on such a widget, even though it is in the final release. It's a very simple thing, but it provides useful features.
After all, who doesn't want to avoid going to the weather website or launching another app when an easily accessible menu bar quick widget does the trick?
If you try the 15.2 beta, you can go to the System Settings and Control Center to enable the weather widget. From there, scroll down to "Weather" and click "View" in the menu bar.
