Sometimes it can be a little difficult to decide what Netflix movie to watch next.
One of the main reasons we include Netflix in our list of the best streaming services on the market is because it still has an impressive and ever-changing content library. The problem is that its constantly evolving collection also makes it difficult to identify the best shows for you.
Even if you look at Netflix's top 10 list of recommended shows, you still have to choose from 10 shows. That's why Tom's Guide frequently features the top three trending TV shows you should be streaming on Netflix right now. That way, you won't have to check Netflix for new shows week after week.
The three we're recommending right now are a topical rom-com we branded “near perfect” that's still in the top 10, a new season of Netflix's popular legal drama, and a 2018 crime drama that just crashed the rankings! ...
If none of this sounds like your cup of tea, be sure to check out our list of Netflix's best shows, as well as our roundup of new shows coming to Netflix in October 2024. Otherwise, here are the top three selections in a little more detail.
This article is based on the Netflix Top 10 Shows in the U.S. list as of 9:30 AM ET on Friday, October 25, 2024.
Mickey Haller (Manuel Garcia-Rulfo) is back for another case. Yes, “The Lincoln Lawyer” Season 3 was released a few days ago, and fans sent the series straight to the Netflix Top 10 (where it briefly held the top spot).
The series revolves around Haller, an “iconoclastic idealist” legal expert who opens a practice in the back seat of a Lincoln Continental and works on cases of all sizes throughout Los Angeles. The third season is based on The Gods of Guilt, the fifth novel in Michael Connelly's “The Lincoln Lawyer” series, in which Haller defends a former client accused of murdering him.

Netflix just recently added Ben Stiller's 2018 true crime drama “Escape to the Podium,” which made viewers go straight to the Netflix Top 10 immediately after its release. This couldn't possibly have anything to do with the excitement that Stiller's other show, “Severance,” just released its Season 2 trailer, could it?
This fascinating Emmy-nominated true-crime series is based on a recent true story: in 2015, two convicted murderers, Richard Matt and David Sweat, escaped from an upstate New York prison.
The series follows the trio before and after their escape, depicting how they escaped with the help of prison officials, including Joyce “Tilly” Mitchell (Patricia Arquette).

“Nobody Wants This” jumped to #1 on the Netflix Top 10 after its debut last month, but has recently fallen to the bottom of the rankings.
The series revolves around Joanne (Kristen Bell), an agnostic sex and dating podcaster, and Noah (Adam Brody), a newly single rabbi. The two hit it off at a dinner party and quickly develop a relationship, but a variety of modern-day obstacles, including differing views on life and well-meaning (but sometimes self-sabotaging) families, may cause sparks to fly between them.
If you are one of the many viewers who keep “Nobody Wants This” at the top of your Netflix Top 10 list, you will be pleased to know that Netflix has decided to rerun “Nobody Wants This” for a second season.
