John Crowley's touching romantic drama We Live in Time must have been one of the most anticipated films to be released in late 2024.
The film follows the highs (and lows) of a decade-long relationship between Almut (Florence Pugh), a talented chef, and Tobias (Andrew Garfield), a breakfast cereal man, as they fall for each other, in a non-linear fashion.
The film finally opened in the U.S. on October 18, 2024 after a limited release a week earlier, but audiences elsewhere will have to wait much longer.
With that in mind, it is no wonder that many romance fans are already trying to learn when “We Live in Time” will be available for streaming. Below is an update on that.
As of this writing, the only way to see “We Live in Time” (at least in the US) is to go to the nearest movie theater.
As with all new releases, after leaving the cinema, “We Live in Time” will first be available to watch at home on premium video-on-demand (PVOD) stores such as Prime Video.
Unfortunately, distributor A24 has not yet confirmed when “We Live in Time” will be available for streaming. However, we do at least know where it will be streamed: the Max. This is due to an agreement that A24 made with Warner Bros. Discovery to distribute all new releases on Max before any other service.
The official streaming date for “We Live in Time” is unknown, but based on the time it has taken for past A24 films to land on Max, we can at least guess what the release date will be.
Usually it takes at least a few months for a new A24 film to come to Max. For example, “MaXXXine. Ti West's horror thriller opened in theaters on July 5 and became available for streaming on Max 106 days later, on Friday, October 18. Meanwhile, Alex Garland's gripping drama Civil War took 155 days to become available on Max on September 13, and I Saw the TV Glow became available for streaming on Friday, September 20, 141 days after its May 3 release.
With such a gap between the theatrical release date and the streaming date, it is difficult (without an official announcement) to pinpoint the exact streaming date for “We Live in Time.” However, assuming that John Crowley's romantic drama will take at least 100 days to hit Max, we can guess that it will be available for streaming on Warner Bros. sometime in 2025.
This is our best guess at this point as to the streaming date for “We Live in Time,” but stay tuned as we will update this article when we receive more information from reliable sources! In the meantime, why not check out five films like “We Live in Time” and plan your viewing while you wait?
