“The Agency” is likely to contribute to Paramount Plus' growing number of big-budget spy shows.

Every good streaming service has been pushing some kind of spy thing in the last few years: Netflix has “The Night Agent,” Prime Video has the expanding “Citadel” universe, and Peacock will be launching this November with Eddie Redmayne-starring ” The Day of the Jackal” will welcome a new version of the film.

Soon, Paramount Plus will present its own spy drama starring two-time Academy Award nominee Michael Fassbender. From the new trailer that was just released, “Agency” looks to be a very edgy film. Watch it below:

The trailer, which is the first in the series, begins with a debriefing-style account of life in the field as a CIA agent, played by Fassbender's agent “The Martian”. In short, his undercover life seems dangerous, deviant, and full of lies.

He is then given a hint of what his new assignment will be like and all the trouble it will bring. Tense exchanges, relationship drama ...... and lots of action cue.

“The Agency” is a new expansion of Eric Rochant's acclaimed French drama “Le Bureau des Legendes.” The drama focuses on the daily life and duties of an intelligence agent on a long-term assignment in a region with a French identity, and the new show is similar.

In “Agency,” a CIA undercover operative, played by Fassbender, is ordered to leave his undercover life and return to the London office. When the lover he left behind reappears, their romance is rekindled

In addition to Fassbender, Richard Gere, Jeffrey Wright, Jodie Turner-Smith, Katherine Waterston, John Magaro, Alex Resnick, Andrew Brook, Harriet Sansom Harris, India Fowler, Saura Lightfoot-Leon, and Hugh Bonneville, among others.

Excited? Well, don't wait long: Paramount Plus has already confirmed when “Agency” will premiere.

The first two episodes will be available for streaming on Friday, November 29, prior to airing. However, “The Agency” can only be streamed if you subscribe to the Paramount Plus with Showtime membership plan, which increased in September to $12.99 per month (or $119.99 per year).
