Inspired by Verne's classic adventure novel “20,000 Leagues Under the Sea,” the series will air on AMC in the US and tell its story from the perspective of Captain Nemo (Shazad Latif) The new trailer, which begins with Nemo taking the Nautilus, follows the fearless pursuit of the Nautilus' owners as they embark on a journey in pursuit of Nemo

There are mounted chases, giant sea monsters, deep-sea dwellers, snazzy dialogue, fantastic underwater environments and snapshots of sunken treasure; even if the CGI doesn't look top-notch, the whole thing is cut with a serious sense of fun Start here:

Like it? Well, as of this writing, the only confirmed release date for “The Nautilus” is the UK teaser on Prime Video: October 25, 2024 Also, when the Australian streaming service Stan released the same trailer as above in September 2024, it only said “coming soon” We expect more details to be announced soon

The big thing about “The Nautilus” is that, frankly, it has had a bit of a journey to get to our screens Initially, the series was a Disney Plus series, but it was dropped around the same time that Disney abandoned the “Spiderwick Chronicles” adaptation (which later aired on the Roku channel in April of this year)

In October 2023, AMC confirmed that it had licensed “The Nautilus” from Disney Entertainment and that it would air on AMC and AMC+ as “a special television event in 2024”

In that announcement, Ben Davis, executive vice president of original programming for AMC Networks and AMC Studios, said: the Nautilus is a topical fan favorite like Anne Rice's immortal universe or Orphan Black It's a big-budget drama that will surely appeal to fans of fan-favorite series like “Echoes”: it's a topical drama for fans of fan-favorite series like “Echoes

Elsewhere, thanks to its licensing announcement, we know that the series will run for 10 episodes, and we also know the synopsis of the series: “The Nautilus” follows the origins of Jules Verne's famous explorer, Captain Nemo Nemo is an Indian prince deprived of his birthright and family, a prisoner of the East India Trading Company, and a man seeking revenge against the same forces that took everything from him

Throughout the trailer, the main cast, including Shazad Latif, Georgia Flood, Thierry Frémont, and Céline Menville, as well as guest stars Richard E Grant, Anna Torv, and Noah Taylor, can be seen
