Episode 4 "Behold the Throne"

An attack forces Martin to confront his own mortality and whether fear is affecting his leadership Malcolm sees an opportunity to raise the profile of the NOI by producing a documentary about it However, the consequences of his actions begin to surface Meanwhile, Malcolm's family grows and Betty feels alone

After his departure from the NOI, the pain of betrayal from Elijah takes its toll on Malcolm mentally, physically, and emotionally; when further betrayals within the NOI extend to him and Betty, he decides to speak out; the FBI targets Martin and Coretta; and the FBI's "secretive" and "secretive" relationship with the NOI is threatened, stress and paranoia, but the passage of the Civil Rights Act gives Martin and Malcolm hope and a chance to meet each other
