If I were Apple, I would hire this designer in a heartbeat Here is a concept of the iPhone 12, showing what the flagship model would look like if Apple were to make a foldable version
And the badnotbad Instagram clip has nearly a million videos on Instagram, so many people seem to like this vision of the future Yes, this is not real, but here are two things that Apple should really adopt over the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip Check out the video below
The biggest difference between this iPhone 12 concept and the Galaxy Z Flip is the external display; the Z Flip has a meager 1-inch OLED panel, but this iPhone 12 design provides a much larger area to control apps with the phone closed It provides
The Galaxy Z Flip's external display is largely limited to showing notifications and the time, and while the panel can be used for selfies, the space is too small for accurate framing
The Motorola Razr has a larger 27" QuickView external display that can check notifications, change music tracks, make payments, and use Google Assistant, but cannot run full apps It does not
Another really cool thing about this iPhone 12 design is the way the hinge operates Swipe up on the left side of the display and the iPhone automatically unfolds, so you don't have to worry about using both hands to reveal the large display It's hard to tell in the video, but the phone appears to snap shut when gently pressed
It was only a few days ago that we learned that Apple could be less than a year away from releasing its first foldable phone The source of the information was a glass expert who was reportedly familiar with Corning's plans to produce Gorilla Glass
There is other evidence that Apple is working on a foldable phone Apple has patented a three-part foldable iPhone and also patented a flexible display that can be heated to make it less likely to break when used in cold environments
We don't know if Apple will head in this direction with the iPhone 12 or (more likely) the iPhone 13, but this is a fascinating look at what is possible
