When asked by GamesRadar, industry experts weighed in on when the next PlayStation and Xbox would appear It turns out that the answer is probably November 2020, ahead of what both companies expect to be a major boost in December

Piers Harding-Rolls, research director at Ampere Analysis (formerly head of game research and AR/AR lead analyst at IHS Markit), Dr Serkan Toto of Kantan Games KK, Wedbush Securities analyst Michael Pachter all believe November will be the launch month This makes sense, given that both companies are targeting the Christmas sales season, and furthermore, as Harding-Rolls says, "neither company wants to get ahead of each other

As for the announcement of these alleged release dates, the consensus varies between now and then E3 will be held, but if recent reports are to be believed, a major gaming conference may be canceled due to coronavirus concerns
